Plastic dome circular tanks are useful in positions if a small tank footprint is the only option. They offer high volumes of storage capacity. The downside being they are tall tanks with a large visual silhouette.

The main reason for using steel tanks to store kerosene is that they are long-lasting. Steel is highly durable, flexible and has a much longer lifespan than tanks made from plastic. They offer better security against theft of kerosene as they are harder to drill and syphon oil from than plastic tanks. The draw backs are that they are heavier and at the end if the tank life they are more difficult to remove from your property. The initial expense is also higher as they are more expensive.

Slim line Plastic tanks have the advantage of being small enough to be tucked away in the corner of your garden or driveway. The offer advantages when access if limited or space is at a premium. They may need to be secured by staps to the base in very high wind locations or flood areas.

Underground plastic tanks are used when the need for a minimum visual impact is the priority. The disadvantage is the expense of installation.

Low profile plastic tanks are used when the hight of the tank is an issue, they are normally higher volume and have a larger footprint than other styles of tank. Very stable and easily hidden.
